Can you question an order from a superior?

can you question an order from a superior?

-      I think this will be impossible in Korea, not in foreign countries. There are two reasons for this. First, in Korea, he is reluctant to give criticism to his colleagues, not just superiors. Koreans are used to compliments and have difficulty criticizing. Second, it is not easy to raise questions to superiors because of Korea's hierarchical order. Korea has a strong hierarchy because of the Confucian culture and the vertical culture that Japan left in Korea during the Japanese occupation. Korean vertical culture can be found in many situations. When students get a part-time job, the boss take a part-timers down. In this vertical culture, it is unlikely that a so-called subordinate would question the superior's orders. For this reason, questioning in Korea is impossible. In order to make this possible, it must be a horizontal culture. I also think that we need to develop the ability to speak critical words that are helpful to people.
