Being a sociologist

1. Summary

The data is about how sociology majors use what they have learned. Education in sociology is also available outside academia. Through analyzing trends in society, interpersonal communication, statistical ability and so on, one can make great contributions to one's profession. In some cases, they go to graduate school to get a job, or they minor in business administration. There is also evidence that sociology graduates are more satisfied with their jobs after graduation, it said. A sociologist may work for an Non-Governmental Organizations. This is because Non-Governmental Organizations are interested in the social problems. In addition, sociologists may be more diligent in sociology and earn their PhD to take the path of scholars.

2.Interesting

I was vague about my career as a student of sociology, and I was very anxious. I think positively that the sociologists in this document are open to various possibilities, although the specific circumstances may differ from those in Korea. It seems to me that sociology is not just a desk theory, but is fully applicable in the real world. In particular, it was interesting that more than half of the graduates of sociology indicated a positive response to their majors. In Korea, many liberal arts and sociology graduates are often blamed for their majors as they suffer from a job shortage. I wonder how such a different reaction came about.

3.Discussion

In addition to the case of this document, is there a lot of possibility that sociology can be used in reality?
