Midterm essay _Changes in Korea society
Korea is changing in many ways. politically, socially and culturally.
Looking culturally, K-pop among them has become so influential that it has an economic butterfly effect. The North American market's interest in K-pop is growing as the K-pop group, which recently reached the top of the Billboard 200 list, has become a four-team group, BTS, SuperM, Monsta X and NCT127. Unimaginable things are happening in front of our eyes only 10 years ago. Korean pop music, formerly known as "world music," has become the mainstream of the global market as it evolved into its own word "K-pop," and is expanding its influence further.
There are still many changes going on, including more families without children, single-person households, and increasing efforts to create a more equal society for men and women. In addition, there have been a series of social moves to break away from the existing ones and seek new attempts. Women are no longer required to marry or marry, and for college graduates, the range of career choices has widened compared to the past, and the hierarchy at work has eased to some extent. Now, there are more and more employees who express their intention not to attend the dinner with their bosses, and more and more people are acting in search of what they want to do.
Finally, from a political perspective, we could see the will of the people in the government's departure, which was established candlelight vigils. More and more politicians are trying to show responsibility to the public to erase negative frames of Korean politicians. However, there is still some antipathy among politicians. However, I believe that the movement of those who are aware of it and want to change it will continue to flow in a better direction.
I can't guarantee that these changes are always changing in a better direction, but at least everyone has the will to change in a better direction. This is because I think all Koreans are doing their best in their seats to live a little better and be a little happier.
It is also believed that Koreans will try to change again and move toward a better direction even if a bad direction comes, as the "nationality" that is more united in times of difficulty is strongly revealed to Koreans.
For example, Korea's ethnicity could suggest a "gold-gathering campaign" that took place in 1997 when the IMF requested a bailout. This is a movement in which people voluntarily sacrificed their own gold to the country to repay the debt of the Republic of that time. At that time, the movement, which involved about 3.51 million people nationwide, collected about 227 tons of gold, equivalent to about $2.13 billion. Based on this, I think the country will gradually change in a better direction with the power of its people.

This positive change in Korea is affecting me unexpectedly a lot. First of all, I get motivated by various changes. For example, Korea's Candlelight Demonstration led me to the path of a journalist. As such, changes in the country seem to have a big impact on individuals.
