Changes in Korean Society 

Due to the recent covid-19, many countries have reached a difficult social period. The virus problem has not been solved yet and each country is making tremendous efforts. Korea has produced a diagnostic kit that can distinguish the virus from covid-19, which allows us to determine whether or not more quickly. Now, it has been belatedly provided with diagnostic kits made in Korea around the world to find out whether or not the virus has been infected. Sharing diagnostic kits is sure to be a positive factor to maintain external relations with the other country. Through the diagnosis kit, Korea has an opportunity to promote our country and expect to maintain positive relations between countries. The reason why mentioning this case is that the growth of Korean society has led to many changes both internally and externally in the country. In order to recognize changes in Korean society in terms of external aspects of the country, changes in external responses are needed accordingly. There are other examples that can prove this, but given the current national situation, we couldn't help to make a secret about the cases caused by Corona-19. In Korea, society is constantly changing in various fields (culture, art, politics, economy, etc.). Although these changes do not always produce positive changes, all of these changes have played a tremendous role in future developments. So how is Korean society changing specifically?

As time goes by, many people are interested in various problems with "human rights." Among them, women's human rights are one of the long-standing human rights that has not yet fully improved the problems, but many changes are taking place compared to the past. In the past, Korean society historically valued ‘Confucian ideas’, so women could not actively engage in social activities or express their opinions. However, as times change, many women have tried to break these false stereotypes. For example, most women quit their jobs by giving up their dreams just because they always have to take care of the housework and have to concentrate on childcare and housework immediately after marriage. However, these days, men and women both are generally in charge of childcare and can be seen taking care of each other's work. In order to support these efforts, the government has prepared many policies, including parental leave and provision.
In other respects as well as marriage and child-rearing issues, women are still shouting. Although it will not be able to solve the problem in a single moment due to its perfect improvement, it will surely be able to draw satisfactory conclusions by making changes little by little. In this process, however, the most important thing seems to be to keep the proper boundaries between the two genders without destroying the human rights of men. Society will continue to change on the issue of gender equality and there should be no reverse discrimination against this change. If the two genders keep their line and shout efficiently for human rights, they will make a positive social change enough.

What about art and economics? As a representative example, BTS is the first thing that the whole world is enthusiastic about. K-pop, and K-pop singers, have played the biggest role in promoting Korea and the Korean Wave. It is one of the important factors that has helped expand its presence in Korea, just as it began to recognize Korea after listening to K-pop songs even in countries that do not know Korea. However, the emergence of BTS has changed the ultimate perception of K-pop worldwide. The benefits of the K-pop craze are enormous as fans start to pay attention to not only singers and songs but also Korean culture mentioned in the songs. BTS is a world-renowned boy group with many achievements that have been made to win the title of "first." This has not only contributed to Korea's announcement but also to its economic development. Many of BTS' fans visited Korea to see them in person, and attractions around the country have become tourist attractions. Certain tourist attractions have focused on foreign tourists rather than Koreans, and some have made huge profits by producing a variety of BTS goods. By promoting K-pop as an artistic aspect with the BTS craze, not only did the overall K-pop contribute to the enormous synergy of growth, but also helped Korea's economic growth, creating a tremendous change in society. In addition, director Bong Joon-ho has paid keen attention to films from non-English speaking regions around the world by winning an Oscar for his film "Parasite." As he began to pay attention to the social class that indirectly criticizes the movie, not only the perception of Korean film works but also the issues that should be considered socially, it had a tremendous impact on the world.

Perhaps now our country is making some improvements to the social class problems of 'parasite'. When you think of companies, most of them are large companies such as Samsung, LG, and Hyundai, but in fact, start-up companies are drawing attention. Conglomerates have made a lot of efforts to overcome the nation's economic difficulties and we have received a lot of help, so we can't rule it out. But they need to break the framework of their old cultures. Whatever you do, there are many factors unrelated to what is required just because you go to work. It is startups that break this mold. Starting a new business, it has been going through many changes that fit the times and actually produces good results. So it is expected to lead a better future, but on the other hand, it is also a bit of a dangerous judgment. It's good to change little by little for a better look, but if you put all your expectations on a start-up with just this one, there will certainly be many problems. Since there are very few successful start-up companies, if they develop and grow the uniqueness and speciality of each company of the Great Security Group, which replaces large companies, they can create a Korean society full of outstanding companies in each field.

Finally, there have been many changes in relations with North Korea. Previously, North and South Korea had little other exchanges, so unification was not even mentioned and it was difficult to expect a smooth relationship. It is pushing for a phased opening through North Korea, strengthening the link between trade through the "New Northern Policy." North Korea is expected to take enormous risks as its commercial links with China, which currently carries 90 percent of its trade, are more sticky. Relatively speaking, changes continue to occur, but it is virtually impossible to expect unification unless the North breaks its stance. Therefore, there will be a change in inter-Korean relations in the future if we constantly consider ways to keep the proper boundaries between the two countries and engage in exchanges.

Our country has been constantly changing in various aspects about the various things that can be brought about by the state. Not all changes flow to the good side, but as mentioned earlier, the process of changing one by one will greatly contribute to national development. However, there will be negative consequences when we see changes in various fields, and if we pay attention to these areas, Korean society will continue to do so. Looking at these changing processes in the future, I and the people will be able to cope with them in a way that can be somewhat confusing at first.

In my case, watching these changes in society seems to have changed me a lot. There will be many problems and difficulties in the process of change, but I think it is a necessary step for better days than now when I see the world long and wide. I hope that Korean society will constantly change to show better performances in each field than it is now.
