W9-1 :: Socialization

1. Summary
This article talks about the definition of socialization, the classification of socialization, the importance of socialization, etc. Socialization is the process of helping humans perform their functions and roles properly in social life. However, it should be noted that not all human actions are learned. In other words, there are innate areas, such as emotions and morality. Socialization consists of primary and secondary socialization. Primary socialization occurs mainly in infancy and adolescence, and secondary socialization takes place during the remainder of one's life. Socialization also has narrow socialization and widespread socialization, which in a narrow sense is intended to promote obedience and conformity. On the other hand, socialization in a broad sense is intended to promote independence and individuality. This is called broad meaning because it has a wide potential.

2. Interesting
It was interesting that socialization was influenced by culture. In other words, the fact that one is taught is the same in itself, but the sociality of one depends on which culture one embodies.

3. Discussions
But do you have to socialize to become a "normal" human being? I am curious because I believe in the theory of sexual selection and have never felt uncomfortable because the socialization process around me.
