WEEK 11. Dramaturgy

1. summary

Dramatics is a study of dramatic composition and the expression of drama elements on stage. In a comprehensive exploration of the context in which plays exist, for example, the physical, social, political and economic environment in which plays take place, the psychological foundation of characters, metaphorical expressions in plays, etc. are studied. The copyright issue is ambiguous because the function of the drama may vary depending on production.

2. interesting

I usually like plays, so I enjoyed reading about this research. It was interesting to study society by comparing it to a play. The sense of who you are, and the dramatic effect that comes from the immediate scene, was like analyzing the character of your character before actually doing a play.

3. discussion

정동극장 서울 | 공간 소개 | 정동극장
Society is like an animal kingdom. To put it a little more differently, I think it's a jungle. This is because it is like the world of animals to compete and fight to live better than others. What can you compare society to other than theater?

Week 1-1. Introduction to Sociology

1. Summary  Sociology is the study of what activities and thoughts human beings have as members of society. They are also interested in the structure of society and have a welfare system in place From small to big, the areas that society deals with vary. Sociological imagination allows individuals to deviate from self-centered perspectives and view the world as a common entity. This can interest others in their situations and encourage them to directly address the problem. So sociology is the study of understanding social events, collecting, analyzing and studying empirical data.  2.  Interesting   I found the story of sociological imagination interesting. When a social event happened, even people who had no direct connection with it came forward and wondered about the phenomenon of anger and solidarity together, but when I learned about the concept of sociological imagination, my curiosity was solved a little bit. People seem to be able to see irra...

WK 1.4, what is Wikipedia? - Hanane Ben Abdeslam

Wikipedia was founded in 2011 by Jimmy Wales and is now available in more than 300 languages and it is worldwide used to do online searching. Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia written by volunteers. The name is divided in “Wiki” and “Encyclopedia”. A Wiki is a website that can be edited by any visitor. The information can be freely viewed and edited by anyone. In this way, the open character ensures that the information available on Wikipedia continues to increase. However, because everyone can edit a Wiki, the articles cannot be guaranteed with true facts/information. Wikipedia trust their community/volunteers that they check their work themselves. Whoever wants to edit must follow a strict guideline when writing articles. This includes that articles must be objective and that no copyrights may be infringed. I find it interesting that a Wiki is technically a “group project” because many people are editing it together, without exactly knowing that more people have been writing. ...

W2-1 Sociology and Sociologists

A Short Summary of ‘Introduction to Sociology/Being a Sociologist’ This article was about what we can learn when we major in Sociology and what kind of occupations we can have after graduating a major of Sociology. Basically, there are two ways of path you can go after graduation and this is mostly the same in all majors in Liberal Arts. First is employment and second is studying further. Mostly, students choose to get employed and the range of employment varies from educations to marketing etc. Something I learned after reading ‘Introduction to Sociology/Being a Sociologist’ Before reading this piece of information in wikibooks, I didn’t know that there was such a variety of field a sociology major can go. I only thought of sociology itself, not the connected fields around it. Also, I was surprised that 1/4 of PhD sociologists choose to work outside sociology academia. PhD degree sociologists are the ones who studied sociology more than anyone but they leave all their ...
