W12-2 :: Social inequality

1. Summary
Social inequality is a phenomenon in which limited resources in society are distributed unevenly. Factors that distribute resources include ethnicity, power, religion, kinship, prestige, gender, age, inclination, class, etc. Inequality varies between men and women, racial and ethnic inequality, age inequality, health inequality and international inequality. Inequality is a phenomenon that occurs in almost every society.
2. Interesting
In a stratified social structure, social position affects almost every aspect of social life. There are many influences, such as the treatment of others and the opportunity to come to one's life. However, it was impressive that not only attribution but also achievement status was important. In other words, unless you are born in a country that is too closed, your life is what you create and you will not be harmed by your family.
3. Discussions
Of course discrimination is unfair. For example, having the same ability but being discriminated against because of gender should be eliminated. But in modern society, individuals strive arbitrarily to be competitive with others in a limited market, and can we define the unequal consequences of this as inequality?
