Week 12-2. Social inequality

1. Summary

Social inequality is found in almost every society. Social inequality is formed by various structural factors, such as geographical location and citizenship status. Social inequality can be classified as an egalitarian society, a hierarchical society. There are five systems or types of social inequality. First, political inequality is caused by the ability to access government resources without civil equality. Secondly, the inconvenience of treatment and responsibility is that some people gain more benefits and gain more privileges faster than others. Third, the inequality of members is the inequality of the number of family, state, or members of belief. Fourth, inequality in life is caused by an imbalance in opportunity that improves a person's quality of life. Finally, wealth inequality is the inequality that occurs because classes that individuals can earn every day contribute to total income on a monthly or annual basis.

2. Interesting

I found the content of inequality between men and women the most interesting. Social inequality, gender inequality, treats women and men differently by dividing labor by gender, assigning roles, assigning responsibilities, and assigning social rewards. This is a major cause of social inequality. Women are low in political activity and decision making in most states, in the north and south of the world.

3. Discussion

What can we do to resolve inequality between men and women?
