Week 2-2. (extra) Why do so few citizens choose to vote?

Why do so few citizens choose to vote?

About a month later, I have my first-ever parliamentary election. I look forward to the day very much. The country tries to raise voter turnout, but not many people vote in each election. Why only some citizens vote when the votes are given to everyone equally?
First, citizens do not believe in pledges. Many candidates in the past have lost faith in their pledges. Citizens don't think it makes any difference whether they vote or not.
I also think there is a reason for the lack of education in the low turnout. There is no place to properly teach citizens how the political process works, and citizens are in a situation where it is difficult to pay particular attention to voting or politics. Therefore, I think this vicious cycle continues.
In order to raise voter turnout, I think the first thing in the country is to create a system to educate people about what happens if they vote wrong and why they should vote. Currently, citizens have fewer opportunities to learn properly about the importance of politics or election voting. Therefore, re-education in politics is necessary. And I think the most important thing is for the elected candidates to try to win the trust of citizens.
