W8 extra: Would you like to have more say in the political decision making?

I think the system should be supplemented so that I can have greater participation in political decision-making than now. In other words, I think the suffrage of Korean citizens should be expanded. When I was a high school student, voting rights were not granted to teenagers under the age 18. So I always thought it was wrong. Since South Korea adopts a representative democracy, lawmakers and other politicians should reflect the public opinions in state activities on behalf of them. However, I, who had no right to vote, felt that I was not always represented because I could not elect a politician by my own hand to meet my needs, and decided that I should have more opportunities to participate in political decision-making. Even in the field of education, which had a huge impact on my life at the time, I couldn't find a representative to replace the opinions of me and my friends. So politicians seemed to use education-related policies as a tool for their power struggles, not to improve students' lives. Now I'm old enough to have the right to vote, and things have changed a lot since Congress passed a bill last year to lower the election age.
But still I think our suffrage should be expanded. Politicians are often unfaithful when the election period is ended, and they often seek their own interests rather than doing their country's job. Their irresponsibility could hurt the nation's minority class in desperate need of state help. Therefore, I think we should have more say in the political decision making to monitor the representatives of the people, help the discriminated against and create a more democratic nation.
