Week 8-2. Government

1. Summary

This article is talking about the government. A government is a system that controls a state or community, usually consisting of a legislature, an administration and a judiciary. Government is a very important factor in maintaining and developing society. In the form of government, dictatorship, aristocracy, democracy, republic and federalism are presented. A dictatorship is a government system in which supreme power is concentrated in one person's hands, and its decisions are not affected by the regularized mechanism of external legal restraint or popular control. And aristocracy is a form of government that places power in the hands of the minority privileged class. Democracy is a government system in which citizens exercise power by voting. In direct democracy, citizens as a whole form a governing body and vote directly on each issue. In representative democracy, citizens elect representatives from among them. A republic is a form of government that is regarded as a "public matter" rather than a ruler's private interest or property, in which a state office is subsequently elected or appointed directly or indirectly rather than inherited. Federalism is a political concept in which a group of members are united by the dominant representative head and covenant. Historically, most political systems have started with socio-economic ideologies, such economic systems are presented with capitalism, communism, distribution, feudal system, socialism, statistics and welfare state.

2. Interesting

It was interesting that opinions on the types and attributes of the existing government differed from person to person. I think China is an example. This is because the Chinese government's self-consciousness is different from that of the Chinese government, which most Koreans think is different.

3. Discuss

What is the correlation between the economic system and the political system? What is appropriate as an example?
