WEEK 8-2 : Government

1.SUMMARY
Government refers to groups or people who dominate society. The government consists of the legislature, the administration and the judiciary. Governments exist in all types of organizations. The British Revolution, the American Revolution and the French Revolution are representative examples of contributions to the change of government form.
The government has an ideal form. However, the government's self-awareness is not objective and may include distortions and prejudices.
There is a clear difference between the type of government and the individual's opinion on its characteristics.
There are autocracy, aristocracy, democracy, and republics in the form of government. An autocracy is a system in which one person is the most powerful, and is not affected by public backlash. An aristocracy is a term referring to the form of power dominated by certain aristocratic classes. Democracy is a government system in which citizens exercise power through voting with sovereignty. A republic refers to a form of government that is regarded as a public issue and is directly or indirectly elected or appointed. Federalism is also a form of government.
In the case of an economic system, there are capitalism that benefits from privatization of means of production and its use, communism with a system in which means of production is owned by people or social communities, distributionism against socialism and capitalism, feudalism, socialism, statism and welfare state.

2.INTERESTING
It is said that the government's self-awareness could include distortions and prejudices. I wondered how this distortion was perceived and changed. And i agree that individual opinions about the government were very different. In particular, the recent elections made me realize this.

3.DISCUSSION
I wonder when the concept of government working for the nation began and what was the initial form? Should we say that leaders such as Neolithic and Paleolithic chiefs are the beginning of the government?
