1. Summary
According to the text, socialization is the process of preparing humans to adapt to society. Socialization is different according to the culture. Among them, the primary socialization takes place as members of society grow and acquire culture and norms from their society. On the other hand, we learns more specific and clear norms than primary socialization in secondary socialization. This is usually done in job groups. Formal socialization agencies are those that aim for this socialization. On the other hand, informal socialization institutions are not operated for the purpose of socialization. However, in this institution, socialization is also achieved through people's interaction. People who are not socialized for reasons such as neglect or abuse do not have the basic skills to adapt in society. If you miss an important time for language learning, you will have to struggle with learning human language. Based on this, proper socialization at the right time is a necessary process to make humans human.
According to one study, there is a certain pattern between parents' social class and how they socialize their children. When the parents were lower class, they emphasized their children's compliance through education. On the other hand, parents above the middle class educated their children to accelerate their children's creativity and independence. Another study found that labor class parents educate their children to run their own time, while parents above the middle class educate their children and plan the life of their children through tutoring. On the other hand, there was also a study that people are socialized in a role suitable for the curriculum they follow at the school, the official socialization institution that plays a major role in socialization.
