Discussion
-How does socialization differ by social class, race and
gender?
-In which case socialization can fail?
-In which case socialization can fail?
Examples of the disconnection and failure of socialization are the experiments of Emperor Friedrich II of the Holy Roman Empire and the example of Isabel. By banning children from using language, Friedrich II experimented with what language a person would use when there was no language learning, but all of the children in the experiment died. In the case of Isabelle, she grows under a single mother who is blind and dumb, so Isabel, who lives in a state where she has no contact with people, cannot use language and acts like an animal. The above example is a simple example where socialization has not been achieved. As you can see in the example above, if you do not learn the expected roles and norms, cultures, values, etc. in that society through interactions with people, eventually humans cannot lead a human life.
