Week 9: Why do people cooperate with others?
In Korea, there is a saying that "two heads are better
than one person." This proverb means that no matter how easy it is, it is
much easier to do a lot of work. As the saying goes, working together makes
easy things much easier and difficult things can share pain together, so you
cooperate with others. And we learn to cooperate with people at school because
we work in social life and help and interact with each other. For example, when
you become a college student, you will have a team project that is difficult to
solve alone. Team projects can do well as they can make up for other team members'
shortcomings and create synergy effects. Not everyone is so perfect that they
cooperate with each other to help each other's shortcomings and make things
easier. Especially in areas where creative ideas are needed, you can come up
with better ideas if you combine them rather than thinking and doing things by
yourself.
