EXTRA) why men and women chose different fields to study?

In a class in his freshman year of college, the professor pointed to a female student and said, 'A friend here may be the First Lady of the President.' I was deeply offended by the remark. Couldn't you be the President, not the First Lady?

It should be said that the reason why men and women choose different fields is because of the discrimination that is implicit in our society. I also think it is the media that creates that discrimination. The media should be more aware of and change this problem.

A Short Summary of ‘ Introduction to Sociology/Sociological Methods’ This part of the book is about the methods employed in sociology and some standards of the methods and what it tells us. In scientific methods, there are four steps. Characterization, hypothesis, prediction and testing. For the best prediction in scientific methods, we need to know the correct relationship between correlation and causation. It is important not to mistake correlation and causation. Also, quantitative and qualitative methods are two different approaches of sociological research.
