 Topics in Sociology_Social inequality

1. Summarize in my own words of materials I read.

Social inequality means that the resources of a society are not evenly distributed through norms, but they go to people in certain categories. This occurs according to the discriminatory preferences of social goods distributed to power, religion, kinship, reputation, race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, class, etc. Generally, it means that the results are less equal, but it can be conceptualized in terms of a lack of equal access to opportunities.
The distribution of resources in society often places too much importance on people's hierarchical social classifications. In most cases, social inequality is associated with racial inequality, ethnic inequality, and gender inequality, which can also be associated with corruption. In most countries, the 'Gini coefficient' is used as the most common indicator of social inequality. Zero is the distribution of wealth and income, and one is the concentration of national wealth and income, indicating that one person has all wealth and income. The Gini coefficient may be the same for each country, but the economic conditions and the quality of people are very different, so we must be contextualized the Gini coefficient for meaningful comparison.

2. Mention of any new, interesting or unusual items learned.

I was most impressed with the related parts of global inequality and the resulting economic growth. The world's economy has developed unevenly, so there are places where geographic areas are mired in poverty and disease. This was caused by World War, financial crisis, development, industrialization, etc. However, since 1980, the GDP gap has been gradually narrowing, and life expectancy has begun to increase in some developing countries.

3. Identify at least one question, concern, or discussion angle that is either problematic in some respect or could have been elaborated more.

At this point, racial discrimination broke out in the United States, so I wanted to talk about "racial and ethnic inequality" among many inequality and social classes. I want to let you know that racial inequality is a more serious problem than you think. It can reduce opportunities for members of the underprivileged, leading to a cycle of poverty and political alienation. Often, they are discriminated against by a number of policies, including assimilation, exclusion, oppression, expulsion, and relief. As an Asian, we also suffer from a lot of racism when we go abroad. I will do my best to prevent racism in the world, supporting the opposition to black racism.
